What should I do when I have been exploited ?
If you or your friend have encountered the above situation, please seek help in the following ways:
Remember: Remember the name of the inflicted, your friend, witness, age, special features, cell phone number, your work address, and the surrounding landmarks.
Keep: Keep all the relevant evidences such as contract, salary record, loan receipt, your punch card etc. You can also use your cell phone, voice recorder, MP3 to gather evidences such as voice recording and video recording. (It’s very important for you to gather evidences because the case can be dismissed due to lack of evidence and the inflictor will not be punished)
Call: If you or your friend have encountered the above situation, please call the number 1955 directly, there will be someone to help you in your own language, or when you get through the number 1955, please have the person speaking with you to transfer you to the Keelung Government to help you with the case.
If you or your friend have encountered the above situation, after we have taken in your report and verify that you are a victim of human trafficking, our government will put you in a safe place and will not let the broker or the employer hurt you anymore, and we will hire a lawyer for you free of charge to help you get back all the salaries you deserve.
Human trafficking is a serious criminal offense of human rights.
